Marketing Tip of the Week: Facebook for Business Part II

Facebook_3474124cIf you are using a FB personal profile for your business (as in you created a profile with its own login and password just for it), FB will close you down when (not IF) they find out. This is against their guidelines. I know there are benefits to doing it that way, but it can get you banned from FB. You need to create a FB page. On your left sidebar should be a CREATE PAGE button. Just follow the steps. You may not be able to complete all of it at once, but at least get it started and CLAIM YOUR LINK NAME! Make it the name of your business or close to it if what you want is already used.  This is so important because people DO search for businesses, phone numbers and hours of operations through FB all the time – why switch to Google if I am already browsing thru my FB feed?  Next week we will discuss the various sections of the FB business page and setting those up to work for you.
