Getting the Most Out Of Google Plus – Part 2

Google-Maps-iconAfter you claim and verify your Google Plus page, it’s time to get some information in it. Make sure your location is accurate on the map – this feature is directly linked into GoogleMaps and customers will be frustrated if they follow it and you are not where the map says you are. Same thing with your phone number being accurate (remember, most customers are pulling you up on a mobile device and want to be able to click and call). You can also add your company’s website url if you have one. Next is categories; this is very important and you need to select categories (tags) that Google recognizes. You’ll know if it is recognized if it comes up automatically when you start typing it. This is an important part of how Google decides if it is going to bring you up in a search.
