Google My Business – Part 1

google-adwords-success1Making Google Plus work for you starts with claiming your Google Plus page HERE. Unless your business is brand new or you have done nothing (and I mean zero effort) to have an internet presence, Google has probably already created a basic Google listing for you. By going to the link above, you can “claim” that listing as belonging to you. The current process that follows is for Google to send you a postcard with an activation code to the mailing address of your business. It takes approximately 10 days to receive the card and you have a limited number of days to follow the instructions on the card and activate your account. While Google does not require you to have a Gmail account, I find it helpful to have one to speed up logging into my page. I also direct notifications for my page to it, along with any special offers from Google.
