Marketing Tip of the Week: Effective Email Marketing, Part 1

emailHow many of you do email marketing? In 2014, email marketing was cited as the most effective digital marketing channel for customer retention in the United States. So now that we know we NEED to be doing it, what do you need to do to make sure YOUR emails get read? For the next 3 weeks I am going to give tips specifically on how to effectively build emails that your customers want to read. Today’s Tip: Subject Lines Matter. 64% of people say they open an email because of the subject line. Your subject line needs to make them want to read it! My favorite versions are the question (“Did you know that Alzheimer’s is linked to a Vitamin D deficiency?”), the list (“10 ways to save on gas mileage this summer”) and the directive (“Stop wasting time on…”).
